“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land” (2 Chron. 7:14).
Father God, in the mighty name of Jesus, I come to you this morning to ask for your healing and restoration over our Land. Our families are being broken and the people of our Nation are becoming disheartened and wounded. I pray that you open up the hearts of our people and commence a work of healing in them. I ask that you remove the burdens of the families that were impacted by the loss of their loved ones. I trust that you are moving on our behalf and I declare your word to be true. You have declared, “To me belongeth vengeance, and recompense; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste” (Deuteronomy 32:35). You are the Father to the Fatherless and can provide every need. You will repay evil with good. You will restore to all what was taken from them, tenfold. We are praying, we are fasting, and we are watching for your mercy within our Nation. In Jesus name, Amen.
Families of our Nation, declare Psalm 23 with me.
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Amen.
Family, I understand that the recent deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castle have stirred up wrath in the hearts of many but we must keep faith. We have a redeemer! Vengeance belongs to God. He is working on behalf of the afflicted. God has warned that not everyone who resides in our Nation belongs to God. However, in the case of evil doing, He will deliver us (2 Thessalonians 3:1–2). All we need to do is pray. We must pray for our families. We must pray for our homes. We must pray for our Nation. WE SHOULD NEVER CEASE PRAYING!
