“To put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness” (Ephesians 4:22-24).
Ladies, I want to share with you what God has revealed to me in truth and in love. It has been quite some time since I have been silent, but the last few weeks the Lord has prevented me from writing because my eyes were opened to the truth about the season that I am in, as well as many of you. I would like to call this season, the season of Change. Yes, it may sound simple; yet the idea of it for some should carry much meaning – much healing, much love, and must progression.
For many women who are learning the truth about life, God has revealed the difficulties that we face due to the generational curses of our families. Examples of such may be: single parenting, broken families, poverty, characteristics, etc. However, God wants more for you, he has called you for more than what you knew before. The difficulties that we have learned to face, God is now beginning to change the ways in which we view them – making them less of a difficulty and more of a decision.
The decision to break the curses has now fallen within this season of Change.
What I am sharing with you is life-changing, at least for me it was. I will put it to you like this. That Job that you keep having issues with due to your easily offended characteristic, is not because you want to be that way, but it is because you grew up around women who were spiritually weak and who became easily offended. They may not have known that they were that way – but YOU know, so now you can decide if the opinions of others really are meant to offend or if it’s God’s opportunity for growth. Growth through criticism. That relationship that you keep battling yourself with because you are insecure and your heart is heavy, yet you want more and see the absences within the women around you due to similar uncertainties – so YOU push through, you now can decide if you are willing to give that emotional baggage over to God and love freely as God also loves you. That attitude that keeps you alone, that goal that you keep intimidated, that past thought that keeps you discouraged… I could go on and on.
The decision to change from what you knew in order to progress on to the next season of your life is now on YOU. The time to decide to change is now.
While you were under your mom’s roof, you were to abide by her rules. However, you are a woman now and as for you and your home – you all will worship the lord. There are specific fears and insecurities that you have to rebuke within the season of Change in order to advance yourself. God has already promised it to you. God has already given it to you. God is ready to elevate you. But are YOU ready? Are you ready to transform your generational curses into generational blessings, simply by deciding to change?
